Our Shipping & Delivery Policy
Unlike many online retailers, we do not believe in the practice of posting “virtual” inventory – that is, listing wines and spirits on our website that we don't have in stock and our distributors might have in stock. This inevitably leads to problems fulfilling your order in a timely fashion (or at all), incorrect vintage listings, and sometimes “bait and switch” sales tricks trying to convince you to buy something you weren’t even looking for.
Everything listed on our website is in stock and ready to ship. In fact, in most cases, orders placed before 4:30 PM ship the same day unless otherwise instructed by you at checkout. Of course, we are human and do make mistakes now and again. In the event that there is an error in our inventory or an incorrect vintage listed, we will contact you immediately to rectifiy the situation.

It’s all too common to see wine offered at a great price online only to be wacked with huge shipping costs at checkout that offset the savings you thought you were receiving. We do not try to make money on shipping. Our shipping rates are quoted in real-time based on the most current information provided to us by FedEx allowing us to give you actual shipping costs for Ground, 3 Day Select, 2nd Day, Next Day, Next Day Early AM before checking out.
We currently do not allow orders being shipped internationally to be placed online , but if you are interested in sending something to another country, please contact us by phone at 860.242.9463.
We do not allow orders to be placed and picked up by another carrier at the shop.
Unfortunately, all sales through our website are final unless the merchandise is damaged upon arrival or you receive something other than what you ordered. We are wine merchants and have a great respect for our product, so we take great care in making sure that you receive wine that has been properly taken care of. Our store is temperature controlled and is never allowed to get warmer than 64 degrees. In addition, we inspect every bottle before it ships to make sure that the cork is in good condition. If a Customer decides to return an order there is a 10 percent re stocking fee.
If you order something that contains alcohol from us, you will need to be present at the time of delivery and be able to provide proof that you are 21 years old or older for the order to be released to you as all items are shipped with an “Adult Signature Required” notice. UPS no longer holds packages at a local office so after three attempts, the merchandise is returned to us. In the event that you are unable to receive your order and it is returned, we will fully refund the merchandise but not the cost of shipping. In addition, there is an additional $10 restocking fee. If you would like the order to be shipped again but to a different address, we will resend the order but you will be responsible for the cost of shipping it again. We are not responsible for errors made in address information at checkout. Please make sure the shipping information you entered at checkout is correct before submitting your order.
